If you’re a non-status Indigenous person, sessions with me are pay-what-you-can.
Hi! I am grateful to live, work and play within the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation, colloquially known as Kimberley, BC. I attended Vancouver Island University for Child and Youth Care and I have worked in mental health with children, youth and their families, and parents for 15 years.
I also bring the personal experience of being a mom in many roles. As a biological parent, stepparent and foster parent, I understand the many challenges that parents encounter raising their littles, and throughout the different stages of development. I also recognize that I will always being learning when it comes to being a parent and this can be an isolating AND rewarding experience!
Areas that we can work on together:
Parenting
Adoption and Fostering
Anxiety and Depression
Relationships and Boundaries
Parent/Teen Conflict
Identity & Self-Worth
I have been supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ clients and allies at Wildwood as client coordinator and the first point of contact for the last two years. At this time I am able to offer affordable feminist mental health services priced at $40-$60 per 50-minute session at Wildwood, supervised by our clinical director and trainer, Anja Hess, RCC #18489.
Some sessions with me will be securely recorded and reviewed by my supervisor, Anja Hess, RCC, for training purposes. Recordings are destroyed two weeks after the session has taken place and Anja’s license number with the BCACC is 18489.
